From its intersection with Brownfield Road (160), drive east on South Hiram Road 310 yards to house #72 on the left (north) side of the road. Follow a dirt drive on the east side of the house north 800 feet. The small family cemetery, which is surrounded by granite posts, is 200 feet east through the woods, next to a double stone wall that used to be a road.

Historical Information: This cemetery was next to the residence of David Smith Sr, who bought 50 acres here in 1841. Buried here are David and his wife Mary, as well as two of their daughters: Mary M. (single) and Elizabeth (1st wife of Nathaniel Gilpatrick). Also buried here is Susan S. (Gould), wife of David Smith Jr., and daughter of Daniel and Deborah (Stanley) Gould. The last burial was for Ida A., daughter of Daniel Gould II and his first wife Lucinda (Smith) Gould. Lucinda was the daughter of David and Mary Smith, and is assumed to also be buried here, though no gravestone was found.

This property was sold multiple times without mention of a burying ground.

Condition (11/8/2020): This cemetery is in very poor condition with all stones either lying on the ground or propped up. The site is in unmaintained woods and many trees are growing inside the cemetery that need to be removed.
