In 2021, descendants of Amos and Susan Towle hired Jess Davis to restore these two headstones. This cemetery is located behind the Freedom Town Hall. Both headstones had weathered breaks that had been previously epoxied. Aluminum channel braces are needed in these situations to hold the pieces securely together. The braces are not attached to the stones themselves and this type of repair is completely reversible. In 2023, four more broken stones were repaired using aluminum braces.
